My Story
Hello, I'm Danny L. Washington Jr., a native of Jackson, MS, where I attended Jackson Public Schools, and graduated from Forest Hill High School's class of 2008. Following high school, I briefly pursued higher education at Hinds Community College before embarking on a musical career, performing at local churches. Subsequently, I secured a full-time position at UMMC, with aspirations of becoming a travel nurse. However, I discovered a latent talent for cooking, which led to encouragement from family and friends to offer plate sales. This opportunity ultimately led to the establishment of Low and Slow Catering Company in 2018, made possible through divine grace and mercy. Each year, our business has thrived, progressing to new levels. My strategic plan for this business is to establish a Fortune 500 catering company, servicing the central southern states, while also operating a full-size commercial kitchen to provide emerging chefs and cooks with comprehensive experience and knowledge for their catering needs. It is an honor and privilege to serve each and every one of you. I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes, which states, "Believe you can and you're halfway there."
